About Our Cat Nappery Inn
Go on a family vacation, take an emergency or business trip, or simply board your cats while contractors are working in your home. We pride ourselves on our Cat Nappery Inn. Your pets will have a luxury suite with a minimum of 155 cubic feet of space, filled with wall shelves, toys, and a private litter box. Your furry pals will receive undivided attention, plenty of fun play or exploration time, and other safe activities facilitated by the two of us. In addition, you will receive updates from us with photos of your cat, if you like. You can also check in on them as much as you want. Although we are not currently giving in-person tours of our cat boarding facilities, due to ongoing covid-19 protocols, we are happy to take you on a live video tour so you can see what true peace and comfort would feel like. Just give us a call to schedule and for a pricing quote. We also welcome rabbits and guinea pigs for basic grooming and boarding.
Our boarding hotel, The Cat Nappery Inn, is nothing like the stacked cage situation you might expect from traditional cat boarding—oh no. Once checked in, your cat will be on vacation, too! We have six roomy boarding suites plus the ever-popular cottage, tastefully appointed with cat furniture and eclectic dinnerware—even mirrors hung at perfect cat gazing level. Add to that a large, sunny playroom filled with toys, music, an “art walk,” trees, and window perches, and you’ll understand why we describe this as upscale boarding. From a five-hour day stay to an extended "snowbird" stay of 1-3 months or more, our Cat Nappery Inn is less traditional boarding and more Fun Camp for Cats. They will have tons of attention, plenty of out of suite play or exploration time, and fun events like audio book evenings and "selfie nights." You'll get texts and photos from your cat, and you can feel free to check in on them as much as you want. We do fill up pretty quickly for holidays, spring breaks, summer vacation, etc., so contact us to book as soon as you know your dates. We welcome bunnies and guinea pigs for boarding, too.
Requirements for Boarding: In order for your cat to board with us, we require proof of current rabies vaccination or titer, FVRCP vaccine history, and proof of a negative FeLV/FIV test (current within the last six months if your cat is indoor/outdoor). We also require cats to have trimmed nails (we can do that if you like), and every cat must be on effective flea prevention.
Check-In and Check-Out Times and Protocol: If your cat is checking in on a Monday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday, they can do so any time between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. If your travel plans prohibit you from dropping off during those hours, you can drop off your cat the night before. We don't do early morning drop offs. If your cat is checking in on Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday, we have two check-in/check-out times available: 10-11 a.m. or 7-8 p.m., only. Check out time is 11-noon on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday. Your cat is absolutely welcome to stay later than noon for a late check-out charge of $10 (per cat).
What to Bring: Food (so your cat doesn’t have to transition to a new food), treats, and favorite toys/blankets/beds/comfort items. You don’t need to bring dishes, unless your cat is particular. We provide sustainably sourced litter, so if your cat will only use clay litter, you’ll need to provide that as well.
